Parks in Tualatin Click here for info Note: Ibach park has a nice dinosaur sand pit with a small creek. The only negative thing about this is that there wasn’t much shade close to the pit area. There were young trees that didn’t provide much shade then but maybe they’ve gotten bigger since. Plan on bringing a sun umbrella if you go and want to be close to your kids as they play. And sand toys too.
Parks in Sherwood Click here for info Special Note: Check out Snyder park. It has a GREAT water feature that kids can play in and an incredible playground. You don’t see the park from the parking lot off of Sunset Blvd. You have to climb up the hill and it’s at the top by the picnic shelter. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, sand toys and bring a picnic lunch.
Parks in Wilsonville Click here for info Special Note: Yes, gas is running at around $4 so plan a full day trip to Wilsonville to make it worthwhile. And if you go, don’t forget to go to the Town Center Park . It has another GREAT water feature -- stair stepping fountain. There’s a small play structure close by and lots of space for a picnic lunch. Go early to save your spot by a shady tree. The Lambs Thriftway there has desserts to die for -- go check them out on your way home. Click here for more info
Washington Park - Children’s Play Ground If you haven’t been, this is a wonderful park. Lots of things to do. Go early in the morning before it gets too crowded. Go with someone (another pair of eyes). It’s right by the Rose Gardens or if you’re at the Zoo, take the zoo train and get off at the Rose Garden stop and walk down to the play ground.
